I beleive I was previously register under a different email address, but although the 'Lost password' page says it has sent an email message, I never received it. I've search for a support email address to contact, but eventually had to give up and use an alternate email address to login. Can someone contact me about using my preferred email address to reset my password?
Thanks.

I downloaded and installed SSMSBoost 3.0 for SMSS 2016 (SSMSBoostInstaller2016_3.0.6124.25840.msi) and installed it on SQL Server Management Studio (13.0.15000.23).
The first thing I tried to do was open SSMSBoost Settings and I get an error "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.". SSMS continues, but can't change any settings in SSMSBoost, define templates, etc.
I tried a 'Repair' installation, but nothing changes.
Is there a version in which this is fixed? |

in regards to the error "Execution guard failed to check the script due to internal error. Do you want to continue script execution?": I don't have ApexSQL installed and never have. if I disable Fatal Action Guard the issue goes away also if I add a space to "SSMSBoost settings\Fatal Action Guard\ Magic unblocking tokens". If you add a space the error goes away but that is the equivalent of disabling it since all your queries will contain a space. |

Hi.
I was using v2.x and since it expired, i installed 3.0beta as suggested in another thread. I have a few comments on it.
1. It would be nice if in Options / Update checker, the Installed Version label was not a label but a locked textbox instead, so one could select and copy-to-clipboard the version.
2. I noticed that when i format an SQL statement using a custom format, even though i have set the "Alignment style" to Spaces, Tabs are being placed in front of every Join (in From) and in front of every line in Where. I haven't found an option to change this. Is there a way?
3. I also noticed that in Options / Formatting, clicking on the MyFormat.xml link opens an explorer window to it twice. I assume it's unintentional.
Thanks. |

I am not sure if this was replied via @support e-mail: You do not nedd User/MAchine token to evaluate the software. Trial period is 30 days long. You will need this only to activate the software for further use. Besides, our current beta 3.0 does not need any activation at all. |

We just forward original SQL to external "Poor Mans SQL formatter" executable, so they will not be considered if it does not support such options. |

Hi Derek, looks like you are using pre-release version of SSMS 2016. There were a lot of changes in SSMS environment, partially incompatible with the release ones. Please upgrade your SSMS installation and check if the error will still be present. |

Thanks SSMSBoost for the update.
I've installed 3.0.6149.29062 in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 13.0.16000.28 and still get this error:
Right click on an object and "Locate object in Object Explorer" gives error "Error occurred while parsing identifier". |

So, today (4 November), we have updated beta version again. -Additional fixes were made to support latest version of SSMS 2016 (13.0.16000.28). Code formatting, Locate/Script object and Code guard features are work again -{StartTime} and {EndTime} parameters were added to message template of "post-execution notification" feature. NOTE: if you update from previous beta you will have to edit notification template yourself and add these tokens. For example you can use this template:
Document: {DocumentTitle} Execution result: {Result} Connection: {Connection} Started: {StartTime:HH:mm:ss} Ended: {EndTime:HH:mm:ss} Duration: {Duration}

I have updated to the latest beta version of SSMS boost for SSMS 2014 and the 'restore Session' feature seems to have been broken.
In the version 2 the tabs would be restored along with the associated connections to the database(s).
In beta V3 the tab queries are restored but none of the database connection are. :-(
Thank you for an excellent product. Hopefully this problem can be fixed.

My issue is similar to the one in this post:
http://www.ssmsboost.com...g-automatically-remapped
When I execute the Format command from the SSMSBoost menu, it works perfectly. Now I want to assign a keyboard shortcut to this and I am having issues.
In the above post, the command name was "SSMSBoost.Connect.Format". This does not exist in the current version, so maybe this changed since 2012? I tried "SSMSBoost.Format.(no Shortcut)", but that didn't work (possibly because of the "No shortcut" indicator).
If someone could help me figure out how to set this, I would appreciate it. Thank you in advance!

Hello Joe, The user/machine token is located in SSMSBoost menu About/License dialog. Please note, that in current Beta of 3.0 the activation routine is disabled. It will be enabled after release. |

There is an issue, when queries are restored with connections SET but in Disconnected state. When you press "F5", the connection will be open. Please confirm that you have same behavior. We will address this issue soon.
I can confirm the issue as well. I believe a related issue I see is sometimes when you open up a 'New Query' window, and you already have a query window open, that new window will have the connection set from the original window but the 'Change Connection' toolbar icon will be disabled. The change connection icon becomes usable again after you do an execute or F5 (even if it's an execute on nothing). |

Two change requests:
- I attached the Find column in Grid (super useful!) window to the property window, but every time I restart my SSMS this window is hidden and I have to enable it again. It would be nice, if it could be visible by default / option
- The Show Grid Aggregates (set to Autoshow / Autohide) is very useful too - except you query a very large data warehouse table with lot of columns and e.g. 500k lines and select all, because you want either to script it out or just copy it. In this case the Grid aggregate kicks in an uses 1-2 minutes summing and counting my customer numbers, zip codes and other useless stuff. So it would be nice if the aggregate modul would ask me (button in the aggregate window), if I would really want to aggregate the selected stuff, if I have selected very much data (lines * columns > x, while x (e.g. 10 mio) could be configured)

I know I can set the formatting to Expand Comma Lists to true or false. It would be great to be able to select a comma list and click a button or context menu to toggle between expand and collapse. By this, I don't mean toggle the format setting, I mean actually change the selected text from a, b, c to:
a , b , c
or select a , b , c
and change it back to a, b, c |
